Menu_1024_768.ini Question
Hi, after many hours of searching I cannot figure out what puts the Position keeper on the attack map screen. I have searched the [G32] & [G42] sections for clues/ties/calls but found nothing, could someone tell me how it is placed there & not for example in the Nav map screen.
![]() Many thanks.

I believe that is just how the PK page is defined. that is it appears with obs and attack scopes, tbt and attack map.
Similar to the way the TDC in SH3 is defined as appearing with the attack map but not with other pages.

Could you tell me where it is defined to appear in attack map & not in Nav Map?

No I can't I'm afraid, but the PK doesn't actually appear in the attack map, it appears with the attack map. It is a separate page from the attack map. If you try attaching the menu entries found in the PK page directly onto the Attack map page, chances are it will not work. Although you may get the images, they will be inert because different pages are hardcoded to have different properties in terms of what can and cannot be done.
I haven't actually tried this specific case, but this is generally what i found when modding the files for the U-jagd tools. In that case it was discovered that the navmap page for example cannot support rotating objects. If you wish to make it so the PK page also appears with the navmap page, then that will not be found in the menu file. I'm afraid you'll have to look in other files for that, if it's even possible. If you are successful in this, I'd be delighted to hear it because this would open up all sorts of opportunites ![]() joe

I didn't want to go in to deep but what I am really trying to do is to get the TorpedoSolution, section G43, into the attack map, the PK is there so I figured the Attack Data Tool should go in ok.
![]() I edited G43 then added to G32 (attack map): Quote:

![]() Thanks, Reece. PS. I will certainly understand if you haven't the time to mess around with this, but someone else might know a simple answer ... I can hope!! ![]()

You've skipped from G32 I42 to G32 I44 without including an I43. That will be responsible for menu ID errors.

Gee, it doesn't seem to matter howmany times I check it I always miss something!!
![]() actually I didn't think missing a number would matter, I thought it would just go to the next, I also go from [G32 I31] to [G32 I33], maybe I'd better adjust that too!

I got this result:
![]() By adding the following to the G32 group: Quote:
Basically the original Attack Data Tool blocks are tied to the G32 Attack map (0x32000000). When I open the map the dial is in the slid out position, the click sound is heard when clicking on it but won't slide away, none of the dials function but passing the cursor over the buttons they highlight as normal. ![]() Anyone please feel free to offer some assistance, I would really appreciate it! ![]() Obviously the stadimeter would have to be non functional in this screen.

Well I may have to give in,
![]() Edit: What is placing the Position Keeper but not the Attack Data Tool on the Attack Map, that is where the answer lies!! ![]()

As you are only interested in getting an AOB input, and as this is only for your own personal use and you are not concerned with great aesthetics at this point, then what you can do is make a repeat of the AOB input tool only (perhaps a smaller version) and attach it to the PK. It will therefore always be visible whenever the PK is visible.

Actually I want the range as well (the range dial not stadimeter) for fine adjustments, it wouldn't be just for personal use, others may want it as well, I might try, as you say, with one dial at a time.
