Default Nearly Installed Gwx2 And Then...

SO FAR, INSTALLING THE WHOLE SHERR-BANG HAS BEEN A NIGHTMARE - TRUELY !!

MIGHT HAVE BEEN BETTER TO WAIT IN THE QUE AND DOWNLOAD THE WHOLE CALLUNKKA FROM GAMESHADOW ?

THEN, AFTER CLEANING AND SWEEPING AND STARTING AGAIN FROM SCRATCH A THIRD TIME - SH3 PATCHED TO 1.4 SH3 COMMANDER, MOD ENABLER - AND OF COURSE WE ALL NOW HOW LONNNNNNG THIS DOES TAKE....... I DO ALL THE GWX2 FILES AND, TO MY BEST KNOWLEDGE, FOLLOWING DESTRUCTIONS OF COURSE, DO THEM CORRECTLY.
I GO FOR INSTALL AND, 3/4 OF THE WAY THROUGH BANG !!

I GET 'THE SOURCE FILE IS CORRUPTED' INSTALLING GWX2 FILES, SOMETHING ABOUT A 'STUKKA'

I FEEL A BIT BETTER TODAY, BUT LAST NIGHT I WAS SWEARING ALOT AND TAKING ON AMOUNTS OF GUINESS AT A RATE SIMILAR TO A COLLAPSING U-BOAT:

"AHH, WHATS THIS?, CIGARETTES FINDING THEIR WAY TO MY MOUTH - SEVERAL BEING SMOKED AT ONCE?.....COUGHING, SPLUTTERING, UNHEARD OF IN A MODERN SOCIETY, SURELY ?" WAS HEARD ANNOUNCED FROM MY PRIVATE CONNING TOWER, AROUND MIDNIGHT.

EVENTUALLY ALL THE EVENINGS CRUMBLING DISASTERS SLOWLY TURNED TO A CALMING IRISH MIST - A SUBTLE HUE OF BLACKS AND WHITES, CLANKING TINS CRUSHED LIKE SUBS BENEATH MY FEET - MY TWO LUMPING STUMBLING DEPTH CHARGES. THE WRECKAGE OF CIGARRETES STUBS FLOATED ABOUT MY VISION CLOSE TO MY LOLLING CHOPS ON THE CARPET LINE......

".....HERR KALEUN...?" I HEARD THE VOICE IN MY HEAD ASK,

"....FOR YOU THE WAR IS OVER, JAH ?"

I SLIPPED AWAY INTO BUBBLES OF DREAMS, TO SURFACE AGAIN THIS EVENING.

SO, NOW I HAVE A CORRUPTED FILE IN THE HOUSE OF SILENCED HUNTER, WILL I HAVE TO START AGAIN, AGAIN, ONCE MORE FROM THE BEGINING, AGAIN ?

( OH, AND BY THE WAY, I MAY BLAME EVERYONE HERE AT SUBSIM FOR MY DECENT INTO ALCOHOLISM...
...ANY IDEAS BEFORE I DO )

CHEERS !

Hi,

When downloading such big files, you should test them with MD5 Hash system. This has been said ..

I did, and one file was mismatch.

Don't give up !!

And you should get some sleep

he is right flag4. I got the same message about the file being corrupted - and if you click on it will give you the same message for the subsequent files.

This is WHY you need to use md5mate - but do it a file at a time, and download a fresh copy of any that do not match.

-corrupted files will ruin your day...happened the first time I loaded GWX 1.0 back in January.

-check the files with MD5 Hash to make sure they are "good", oh and make sure its a clean install, GWX will install JSGME for you and link the manual, then you can add SH3Commander and dont forget to put the GWX config files into the Commander.

Happy Hunting!

You should only need to DL the corrupted file again. When it is DL, check it with MD5 and if all is OK then retry the installation.
