Default 411 and that's all she wrote...Dear Davey Jones

Patch 1.4 ( stock this pic ) about 200 NM north of Manila ( west coast side of Island ) in 1500 ft. waters Dec. 9th 1941 tested my new "Snapper" Salmon Class sub in a crash dive issued at 450 ft. About 2 or 3 ft. past this 411 ft. all hell broke loose.

Never once before the end did I hear any warning of being to deep as that was what I was mainly testing for. Did not 1.3 AI say something about being to deep ?

Also is this depth right for a Salmon Class sub before it is crushed? Seems a little to deep?
Oh yeah, Davey says hi and he's anxious to see you.

I think you might find some answers here: http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=125998
Looks like Werner was able to observe the "instant death below crush depth" issue...

Yea, you should have a test depth needle.

There was, I believe it was set to 345 ft' or very close to it. I just had to see if I could set a record. ( Not really but I did want to see the max and I did )

Besides I may be crazy but not crazy enough not to save before diving. I believe as others on this forum that "Dead is Dead" but since 1.4 has a few new things I intend to keep this sub for awhile and will experiment over and over.

Maybe in a month or so I'll start over in 1941 and not cheat and see just how far in the war I can get.

As said many times already since 1.4 has been out Devs
