Ghost ships!

Think I sunk my first ghost ship today. I read about this a while back... the ships re-appear further along their route but you don't get the tonnage second time you sink 'em. Complete waste of my remaining torpedos... or half an hour if a reload to a previous save.

Just wondering :hmm: do any of the mods address this problem?

I have not run into this problem myself in thousands of miles of patrol so I might argue if a "mod" is required or even possible to "fix" this. Now that you know how to identify a candidate ship which might be a respawn of an earlier sinking you know not to waste your time on it. Make sure you are fully patched and not using fully proven mods.

If you are playing stock, patched and have a save near one of these ghosts, it would be a valuable diagnostic for reproducing the fault towards persuing a fix in the future.

I've read "Silent Victory" and no US Sub has ever sunk a ghost ship, therefore I demand the ghost ship to be removed. It's not realistic!.:p:rotfl:
