I didn't get it - I thought maybe your folder structure was wrong in the file. I'd read the whole readme file for your mod but as I wasn't using SH3 Cmdr at the time I skipped that part in the readme. Of course, it turned out to be in there after all. At least I didn't post in here and waste another minute of your time! ![]() So please don't take me as a person who asks before using one's own loaf! I just never noticed the scope behaviour since owning SH3 from release day. You see my post count is low, even though I've been reading the forums for a long time, and a member for a while - I only tend to speak when I have something worth contributing or asking (at least the local time issue turned out to be one such thing, even if it's yet another pain in the posterior for you to look into). Which says a lot about your implementation. ![]() Unfortunately this means a lot of questions about manual targetting and who better to get the answers from than the maker of the mod :hmm: So I will just add my thanks to the many others who will no doubt convert to 100% realism due to your Mod ![]() p.s. Hmm this is weird. I uninstalled SH3 and GWX 1.03 and reinstalled them both, installed OLC GUI 1.1.3 for GWX and I'm still getting a missing clock and single digit frame rates. Any ideas as to what's causing this?
Notice the white rectangle in the lower left hand corner. |

Been using this for a few days now and seriously,wow!This is great work,and a comprehensive tutorial also.
Appreciating OLC that you've been somewhat bombarded with feedback,it's with this in mind that I'm hoping not to be a completely annoying person by asking a couple of questions. OK here goes,basically I want to tweak one or two small things to suit my playing style.Firstly I'm a big keyboard fan and I'd love to be able to bind the auto tdc button(I think I found this one in Commands.cfg) and the button which calls up the main control/telegraph/depth dial.Is this possible?If so could you please point me in the right direction?Secondly and this really is a minor cosmetic tweak,how would I go about re-positioning where the CE's report dials pop-up? Apologies in advance if I'm being a pain in the a**e,at the end of the day neither of these issues will stop me from using this great mod!Many thanks for the hard work and time. ![]() |

Binding a shortcut key to the TDC auto-update... Yes, you can do it, but there will be a problem: pressing the key won't show/hide the firing solution dials panel (bearing, range, aob, speed) it will just switch the TDC between auto and manual ("in the background" if you like). Because of that I advise against using the KB shortcut to avoid confusion as to whether the TDC is on auto or not, but, if you're confident you can keep track of it, playing that way won't break anything in the mod. You sound pretty knowledgable about the files but just in case you don't know how to bind a key: you can find and download the Set Keys program and use that. To change the position of the CE Reports popup, disable the mod in JSGME, open menu_1024_768.ini (the one in the MODS\OLC GUI... folder, not the one in your SH3\data... folder) and find an entry called something like "FBAC dials slideout". That entry will have a line that reads Pos=A,B,C,D where A,B,C,D are numbers. Lowering/increasing A will move the position of the dials left/right respectively. Lowering/increasing B will move them down/up respectively. Do not change C or D. When you've saved the change, re-enable the mod and try it out. Note that you'll need to completely restart the game each time you make a change, in order for the change to take effect.

Firstly, here's the updated OLC GUI tutorial, now in ultra-cool PDF format !!!
![]() Still no attack disc included (maybe as soon as I figure it out well enough to explain it to others without bursting my hepatic artery or confusing the hell out of them). But for those Kaleuns who enjoy playing chicken with Whale Factory ships and don't raise the periscope until they're trading paint, the tutorial now explains how to target a vessel at 1.5X zoom (yay!). ![]() If you find a spelling or grammatical error, feel free to curse me under your breath, but please keep it to yourself. I'm too drunk to care about such trivialities and I plan stay that way for quite some time.
