Really? I don't.

I like ships and planes, and games are fun, but one war was enough for me.

I was pretty sure that was what you meant. I just wanted to say my piece.

Never. I wouldn't even wish my worst enemies dead, and you certainly aren't one of them.

I secretly wish/believe that SH4 is a failure because I know that I'm just going to stick with 3.

AoD with it's expation pack, giving you the XXI. but Silent Hunter 1 commanders edition was great because it could run on any machine using windows under XP. I used to keep an ol P3 with win98 around just to play SH1

I can tell you which is the worst, though: SH2. As a game it was awful, until several mods saved it. As a multiplayer game it was better. As a sim nothing could save if from the 'scripted missions' curse.

Steve, you are right on! The AI was awful! But I've got a formula for figuring out SH games:

SH(1) Good
SH2 bad
SH3 good
SH4 bad
SH5 follow the trend:rotfl:

It's a tough comparison, you can't beat the original

Regarding the thread...
I care

I voted SH3 because it was a great step forward in it`s day. SH4 has potential, but when you play play US boats with SJ/SD radar it`s a turkey shoot. You have to be really stupid to get get yourself killed.

nice try but no cigar if sh4 had been about u-boats and not pig ugly yankee subs ,then that would have had my vote, so its sh3 all the way for me ,unless they bring out an all singing all dancing sh5 complete with all compartments and human controlled Destroyers
i aint gonna change from sh3 anyway gwx-2 will tie me over for this year no problem i hope ubi is taking a long look at gwx-2 before it makes its next subsim
