Hi all,
Noticed the other day that when I was diving, the bow planes looked all jacked up. The strut that comes out the bottom and attaches to the boat looks as if it's been dislocated, and the whole planes looks torqued over. Just wonder if anyone else has experienced this? The planes will lower perfectly the 1st time I dive, but pretty much are broken, graphic wise, afterward. Thanks, |

There is a bug somehere in the graphics for the bow dive planes that basically causes them to get stuck. It usually happens after a save game, at least thats when I notice it happening. AFAIK nobody has found a fix for it and as its an occasional and purely visual issue (the game still acts as if you have extended dive planes) there might not be much motivation or anyone to go searching for a cure.

Thanks for the quick response. I figured that it was purely graphical, and it doesn't really bother me, would be nice for it to work right though.
Thanks again, |

I believe it will happen more when using high TC and surfacing the boat. Use normal TC when doing this and it should prevent you seeing it again.

Then load that save game the bow plane's will stay messed up until you can do a surface save and load that then they go back to normal operation. The under water saves do not register the fact the dive plane's are extended adn so when you surface they get brought up higher than they are supose to be.
That is the quickest and easiest way to fix the problem. |

...so to back up what Leovampire said, surface saves are the thing just like in SH3.
