Default No 20 degree AOB in Recognition Manual...

In SHIII I used to use the recognition manual to identify when my target was at exactly 20 degrees AOB, and, having found it accurately once, didn't have to mess with it again. I'd like to be able to do that now in SHIV, but only the 0, 45 and 90 angles are in the recognition manual, do you guys know of any mods that include any angles besides these? I imagine the 45 AOB view will get the job done just fine, but I like having the option of getting AOB out of the way from further out, rather than thirty seconds before I launch.

You'd have to take the pictures and make a new one for each ship.

In RL, they had such views for many warships, but they had the multiview images for exactly ZERO merchants. Not one. I know, I have the real rec manuals.

A more realistic rec manual for merchants would have a crappy line drawing, and a not terribly good picture of the real ship---or A real ship in the same basic class that might be somewhat different from others in class in terms of masts, etc (probably in port, and probably from some random angle )

Anyway the recognition manual is not the method intended to get the AOB. In the real world environment any traimed and skilled officer would prefer pure estimation of the AOB, since the depth perception is way better than any 2D picture. IMHO the pictures showing the ships at different angles were intented to help determining details for searching a match, not for AOB estimation.

Yeah I figured I was screwed on that, too bad. I figured it was a little unrealistic having perfect pictures of all these different merchant ships, but that didn't really hurt my feelings too much. I love manual targetting, but not the guesswork side of it, I want precision, and I had it down pretty damn good in SHIII. I know there are other ways to precisely measure AOB, but they are all more labor intensive, and I'm pretty lazy.
