Default latitude & longitude

Hi guys!
Awesome forum you have!
Really useful with all this stuff.

Now, here is my question:
I have installed the TGW supermod, and i get
radio messages asking me to perform actions
at a certain position (latitude and longitude given).

Is there a way I can know (or calculate ) positions?

( I think figure are 80 nautic miles=113 degrees)

Thanks a lot guys

Hi kaleuns!

I'm new here as well and would also very much like to know how to find the positions mentioned in the radio messages.

I'm loving GWX by the way. The effort (and hours) put into the supermod really shows. Great work guys!

A big Welcome to subsim to both of you

Those Radio messages are only for immersion, the Historical Events/Naval Operations moddled into GWX can be found in the Manuel in the appropriate section.

Be aware that you will have to be extremly picky if you want to take part in any of these operations as they occur in a realistic timeframe, the Naval force that invades Normandy for example will only be their on that morning and will then arrive in its position then your probly too late.

Im not sure about the other mod however, so you will have to wait for another member to awnser that.

Good Luck

ALL radio messages with Lat\Long are historical messages really sent in ww2 and are for immersion only

I don't think this question has been answered yet. I too would be very interested in a map with an overlay of LAT/LONG coordinates. This would be very useful when chasing the great scenarios in GWX.

Just noticed that the off-line map actually does have the LAT/LONG grid - it's just very small numbers. Example below is Trondheim at 64 degrees North, 10 degrees West.

Good point, KPII. On the other hand, if you're anal-retentive like me, and always have a handful of real maps to note cities and landmarks, you'll always have those coordinates handy.:rotfl:

I'm not that hard-core - yet. I was considering getting a few real nautical charts of the North Atlantic to hang on the wall over my bunk - ideally from WWII, but current charts would also do nicely.

Oh, my maps are all modern, and mostly from National Geographic. The coordinates are the same, and so are most of the cities, so I'm happy enough. I just like writing in my log that I'm 40km south of Smoothleg Bay.

If you liked the old TGW you'll like GWX ten times as much. (GWX is the direct successor of TGW... we completely overhauled it.) If you like you can follow my sig to the main thread.
