Default DONT mess with the russians.. :S

k now some of you know about rail guns some of you dont... i jus found this out now.. i was looking thru old research on military prototype fighters from MIG and Sukhoi.. i found :

http://www.kitsune.addr.com/Rifts/Ri...-M_Fighter.htm

supposedly its already in production and for sale to north korea, china, iran and argentina, it HAD 30mm cannons.. supposedly that have been replace by rail guns.. yes RAIL GUNS.. (projectiles launched to speeds up to 20km/s) using electricity..

"With the introduction of fusion turbines, development of a replacement fighter utilizing the new engines became important. There was some development on a fusion powered aircraft based on the MiG-39 but the Su-47 reached prototype stage before the MiG-39 derived design and was adopted. The MiG-39 continued to be produced for export and those remaining in service were retained until the MiG-58 Firebolt was introduced. At that time, most remaining MiG-39 were sold but a handful were retained for training purposes."

also they have something called Plasma Stealth

Because the plane is real... MiG-35 MFI... but its capabilities that you posted are science fiction.

Quote:
It also has similar stealth capabilities, with the canard, wing and fuselage structures incorporating carbon-fiber and polymer composite materials. Other stealth features include radar-absorbing covering, screening of radar-visible structure elements, and reduced heat signature. The fifth-generation pulse-doppler radar has a phased-array andtenna with electronic scanning to simultaneously attack over 20 targets. The aircraft can carry long-range air-to-air and air-to-surface guided missiles, and it is armed with a 30-mm cannon.

In March 1997, military officials scrapped plans to manufacture the MFI because it was too expensive. The Defense Ministry supports the MFI development program, and will decide on production following flight tests that could take up to seven years. The Russian air force will not gain one new, state-of-the-art warplane before the year 2005 because of insufficient financing. No new warplanes have been acquired since 1996.
No plasma stealth and no rail guns, sorry.

Plasma stealth exists in theory and probably in the lab if not tried in an experimental plane but it is probably a long way from service.

Is someone smoking crack? THe MiG MAPO was never produced. Russia deemed it too costly and with with the Sukhoi design instead.
