Default what does SHD prefix do in the files?

well I took this RDF loop apart code wise to see how it was made and I must say, novel idea to attach a 'WatchMan' to it to make it turn, I like it. Question though: what does the SHD_ prefix mean/do? I see the 3D object used twice (basically the same 3D loop model after extracting it) for the loop, once with an ID without the prefix and further down in the file another with the SHD_ prefix. These were the GWX Turm files I was tearing apart BTW.

All SHD_ are objects the game uses to calculate dynamic shadows (If IRC they are not used in sh3) , reflect_ are for reflections (this are used), normally they are a low poly count version of the visible object.

In reality the SHD or reflect in the labels are just for easy ID, what actually controls the shadows or reflections are the controllers attached to them ie: DynamicShadowCast.
