@Sober - are you sure it's the drivers and not the game itself that keeps changing the filters?

Thanks for the response , its not the games fault my system is crap . Anyway i have just made my resolution 1152 x 864 and left the AA and AF at 2X and it looks Just as good as the 1024 x 768 resolution with 4X AA and 4X AF . I have only just thought of this believe it or not . Still the only pc game i own .

It's dest to, when you have your settings how you want them, save them a s a profile and then set that profile to be used on startup (imediately)
