I've run into an issue several times now and wonder if anyone elses has also. In career mode I'll use all my torpedoes and sometimes all my deck gun ammo also, not that doing so has anything to do with the problem, but coming back to Pearl Harbor I get this horrible laggy type jerky travel that takes forever to make it back even at 1000+ on the speed up mode. I've saved and rebooted, exited the game and restarted, but not until I get to Pearl and end my patrol does the speed thing work normally. I mean it took me like 30 minutes real life time to get back from Japan to Pearl no matter how fast I was going.. it was awful. Any clues guys?

In my experience the TC lag is always fairly horrible the closer you get to Pearl, how much RAM/CPU horsepower do you have??

I've experienced this too. I've a theory: when you go into harbours with anchored warships and announce your presence (i.e. blow stuff up) then leave the are, you'll experience the same sluggishness on high TC (1000+) as you would when a TF or covoy was nearby (I'm sure you get that as well). The sluggishness will only go away after docking at home port.

dunno if this'll help, but if you keep the map zoomed out at high TC then it won't be as laggy. the more you zoom in the laggier i've found it to be, so as i get closer to whereever i zoom in but reduce the TC to a corresponding level. after all, you don't wanna be goin 5120 when 2 grid squares from port

Yes, I believe objects are the issue here. All harbors seem to bring the frame rate down a bit.
The zooming is an interesting observation, I'll check that out. Thanks! |

there are times, tho, that i've found things to...pause momentarily, but hitting backspace stops TC. those are the panicy moments too
