Default GWX vs NYGM

I don't want to start a flame war or anything but I'm just wondering what the pros and cons of each mod are. I've given up on SHIV again so I'm going back to SHIII and I'm wondering what mod I should give a go, both seem really well done so I'm just looking for a little advice. Peace and love friends, peace and love.

Make yourself a dual install and try them both
Tis the only way to judge the one you like best
For yourself

GWX:

Pro: Best damned uboat experience I've ever seen/played/eaten, more realistic sinkings (usually one torp per ship due to flooding)

Con: The war ends in 1945...

Meaning the only downside to GWX is that the war ends in 1945...so you can't play past it and change history that sort of thing.

No pros and cons, just the same problems and benefits of the stock game albeit much reworked for the ultimate experience. The differences between both mods can be summed up like this:

-Both have a major rework of AI behaviour and U-Boots & other vessels physics, meaning a very different (And much more accurate) game experience. Gameplay is vastly improved, albeit with a different feeling and approach, and sometimes things that are stock in one mod are optional in the other (F.e. 16 km visibility). That is however subjective and depends upon your own taste, so follow Bigboywooly's advice and try at least a patrol in both.

-GWX shines also in another aspect, which is graphics, new units and contents added, plus new Flotillas available and continued suppport. Alsomore custom mods are available to tweak it to your liking.

In the end pick both and decide which you like better. Only other reason for deciding could be that NYGM is a little less demanding in terms of CPU, videocard and RAM.

There's pro's and con's in everything you do. Pro's and con's differ from person to person. The only person qualified to propperly disinguish which mod to use is yourself, Make a dual install and DL both enjoy the best of both worlds

When my wife learns about it!

Now that would allow me to discover a whole new dimension of pain and suffering :hmm:

Errrm...

GWX official update.

Kiera Knightly will be included with GWX.

Yes I am totally serious.

Honestly.

Truly. I mean it.

Really.
