Default Crazy Request: SH3 model of Type VIIC

No, not a plastic model, just a converted ingame model from the ingame format to anything else, .OBJ .3DS .C4D (prefer it .C4D but I'll take what I can get)

Long story short. I'm working on something...something that might be useful to GWX...a new intro movie perhaps? Fully Rendered and all that jazz, but if so...I'll need more models...but I'll be happy with the VIIC for now. Anyone care to help out?

Edit: Now that I have the model...Time for the people to speak! More specifically, the GWX people. Do you want a fully CG intro? Like the SH3 intro, only more...GWX...ish...

If you do, say so!

Oh, WOW!

I would love to see a fully rendered movie from Cinema 4D for GWX.

Please, someone with more knowledge of Max, Maya etc please help this man.

Try FlakMonkey.

Danke herr Kaluen!

That'll work excellently

However it'll take a bit of time getting all the parts back to where they belong...shouldn't take too long though. I'll get started when I get home.

Alrighty, so I got the model set up, looking good. So I did a test render to see how it looks, added some fog and some low light...

Yes it's hard to see, but I'll get a few more renders that show off the specular and bump mapping that's gone into it.

Looking good. Has that got any textures applied to it?

Yep, but it's a bit on the dark side to see any of them...hang on...uploading some pics.

...and I just noticed that the grey on the bottom of the image matches the forums grey!

...Cool!

The Following is using the stock 7C model from SH3, with stock textures but with specular highlights and bump mapping applied to them. Nothing else.

Except the conning tower image...that's Googles work.

Alrighty, now that I got that out of the way. I think an intro is very much possible. However seeing as how GWX is getting close to being done...it might be a seperate download...or people might not want it...*shrugs*

Tis up to the people!

I would leave the conning tower emblem out though.

BTW, what size are the texture files for the skin? I have the original high rez versions available, might render better. IIRC 2048x2048

Danlisa: no clue how big the images are, and 2048x2048 images would be awesome

Pass them along when you get the chance, I'll be working on stuff over the weekend, and seeing as how the model files are under 5 megs, I can probably download any more I need from home. (I'm thinking a freighter and a British DD...not sure which yet...)

But since people so far are falling for it. I think I'll have some work cut out for me...

Oh, and one more thing. Anyone know where the deck gun and AA gun models are?
