Played demo and found it kinda fun but think games to pricey for what you get imho.

SS2008 will be so much better than 2006. I found SS2006 fairly boring, especially when compared to something like FS2004. I will definetely be trying SS2008.

I bought SS2008 this morning from their site, and am sofar pleased with it. It kinda looks like Virtual Sailor on steroids, but then i havent tried it out so much yet.

the only thing better about this one is its gonna have weather options, ex: waves, wave hight, rain, thunder lighting, and a few more ships. deffinatly not worth 75 bucks jesus.

No... for the $50.99 "bucks" you get all that you have stated plus lots more new stuff including:

container loading using a crane,
new vector based charts,
a new interface,
direct control of instruments,
a walk around feature on all ships,
a much more advanced towing and mooring system than the previous version,
a new damage system,
icebergs,
3 new ports,
6 new ships
a new open sea environment ,
plus multiplayer & fire fighting are to be added in a free patch due soon.

Weather systems, yes. Downloadable recent weather and real world forecasts, no.
