Default No Fatigue for SH4

Is there a No Fstigue Mod for SH4 ??

I know there is for SH3 and I also know you can manually fat finger in low or 0 ( zero) values for fatigue. Is there a mod / basic.cfg file out there - or is the best way to accomplish this just to fat finger/edit it in as I describe?

Thanks Mates !

Umm why do you want to do that? Crew management works very differently in SH4 crew shifts are rotated automatically and you don't have the silly case of SH3 where some crew are tired all the time becasue of the room they are in and not their watch status. Crew always get enough rest unless you forget to stand them down from action stations or the glitch I've read with the watch crew.

The fatigue issue in the crew management is much better in SH4 as I no longer need to worry about that one, I only check it after I am in the clear and the crew can step down and thanks to the captain here who created the green button mod makes that job nice and easy.

A very nice feature indeed, no more tedious crew management

But still, if the guy doesn't want to deal with it at all...

Is there a way?

Are you saying guys didn't get tired or suffer battle fatigue on U.S. boats? I know better than that. I like the new crew managment system in SH4, but it's no more realistic than the original system in SH3.

As of now I don't think so, but who knows what the future may bring:hmm: There has not been much talk about this particular aspect, at least until now.

There isnt a mod for it yet - but I will do some digging and see if the fatigue variables can be set to basically not cause any when a crew is on shift. Suggest this gets put into the mod forum though.

I still don't get it, it doesn't affect the player anyway?

It does affect a player - just not nearly like it used to. If you go to battle stations and forget to stand down - your crew gets hosed. Second - even during normal watch standing there is a small decrease in efficiency as the watch progresses. Just havent found what I need to yet to change this to truely having no fatigue - although if I do succeed - there will be no reason you couldnt do the whole patrol at battle stations.

Well whatever floats your boat, IMO having this system is more realsitic than having no fatigue, and more than SH3's system.

Plus you would think staying at battle stations would hose your crew and it's one of the responsibilites of the captain to stand down (like standing down from silent running). I also like the idea that the watch loses some efficiency, I gather the more experience they have the more slowly the loss.

Again whatever you like.

I'm with you on this one. But folks like options, so if somebody wants to mod the fatigue system ( or attempt it ), all the power to them.
