Default [REL] US and British Airbases for your NAV

Like the one I did for the JAP's Airbases but this one includes
All the British and US Airbases locations and times for your
NAV Maps as well. And all Airbases have been adjusted so
that there is a good chance that an Airstrike will happen if
what you report is in that Airbases range. Another words
you might see more Alied Plane involvment in the game now.

You have no idea what a nightmare it was to get all the dates
matched up for things to appear disapear and change for these
airbases.

This was done with help from Captain Cox in the 2D images
and choices on which ones to use. I liked his better than mine.

Again this is JSGME ready but you (MUST BE IN PORT AND THE
Game TURNED OFF) to install this.

Enjoy guys and I hope it becomes usefull for you all!

Here is the download link and some Screen shots:

This is the download link below for both mod's combined into one so all US, JAP,
and British Airbases and locations handled in one MOD:

Link to latest and last VS guys I swear it LOL want to finish other projects!

Default Glad you like it Redwine

My Partner in MOD's LOL! I know more people will just want the JAP one
than the US and GB one but I wanted to make it available for everyone
anyways.

Default Your Welcome switch.dota

So much has been MODed in this game and for this game I wanted to do
something usefull and unique and not step on anyone's toe's LOL.

When I first started playing this game guessing where the JAP's airbases were
and when to be carfull was a nightmare. Granted now I know them by heart
but never was sure when they came into play but at least now we all know
when they come and go. If you start the game from the begining watching the
changes while your on a patrol or heading out on your next one you can see
what we gain and lose as time passes now from begining to end. At least in
the Airbases.

A question ....

It's good to see "Bright Minds" work together ... It's hard to tell what would happen if all you guys (modders) got locked in a room ...for any leanth of time..... I bet "hell would freeze over" ..and the "price of gas would go down" ...Better yet you all could get together like the rock bands did while back with the Band-Aid thing , but call it "Sub-Aid" (kidding) ..Anyway I may have not caught it , as I read through the posts to this thread , but ...can we use both mods at the same time? or are ay just going to combine them into one ...big map mod?:hmm:

Default Yes you can use them together with no problems

Or conflicts. The reason why I seperated them is because I know there are some people who don't want the clutter of seeing all the Airbases but sure I can combine them both for anyone that wants it and I will do it now actualy.

And buzzinbill you had me cracking up on that one LOL!

Just started a new career here...just an idea. Would it be possible to have the "ICONS (Airplane)" show in the main view, and the original "Airport" graphics with the flag shown in the zoomed in view. You don't need to upload that but just say if its possible code wise.

Cheers!

Mod looks good whatever but

Default Unfortunatly to add another 2D image

You have to add another set of locations with the other 2D image.

When you put a map marker in there are 2 types of images that can
be used there is the 2D image and a 3D image slot for each map marker.

The 3D image is the one you can see at ground level with trees and
people and a plane can be added after the fact on the runway or in
front of a hanger if someone adds it to the 3D work.

The plane's you see on top of the Aircraft carrier's can also be used
in placement like they added ships to the ports in the game.

The Airports themselves when you place them do not use any image
at all other wise we would have seen them in the game from the get go.

So in closeing only one 2D image and one 3D image is alowed per map
marker. For example all those ports you see for Tokyo are actualy 6 map
markers in total.

The hardest part about setting up the actual airports was making sure
the location was flat enough and left room inbetween the mountains so
the planes wouldn't crash every time an airport would launch them or head
back. Then there was the problem of finding out the proper times each airport
came into play in the game and setting up the corisponding time for the airport
in the Map markers as well to match the changes in the game and to see exactly
when each airport shows up and changes from JAP to US or British.

Plus when you do the MAP markers 2D Images they look 10 times bigger in the MAP
mode than they actualy look in the game and you have to tell the game what size
to use at what zoom level. And then add it to the game and then check it out.

Many thanks for the excellent explanation. I will have to look closer at it after work today.

Cheers!
