I don't think the thread title is quite right! Eugene Fluckey was more than just an admiral to most submarine fans.
An amazing life. We haven't lost a submarine ace of this scale since Erich Topp a year and a half ago, but one just wonders how long those that are still with us will be around every time there's news like this ![]() |
