Default Are you also waiting for V1.3 to buy SH4??

I have made myself promise I would not buy SH4 until I heard from the community it was stable and ran reasonably well in general.

I have maintained that and sill will not buy it until I hear it works.

While it might not reflect correctly as a poll because many waiting might not visit the SH4 forum as they wait (I hardly do) but for those that have not bought it but intend to when it is right this is your thread to say so.

Well, it is stable and runs reasonably well in general. That's my opinion. Now go out and buy it.

I do not have time to copy them nor is there space on any server yet devised to handle the number of links to threads that would dispute that post!

It's very stable and runs like a dream on my system. If you play at 100 percent realism though, then I'd wait for patch 1.3 in order to be able to play the sim and really enjoy it.

It runs very stable on my system and I find it very enjoyable with some mods installed. SH4 v1.0 was a horrible mess, v1.2 plus TM or RFB and some other mods is good.

Well, in all honesty you could try all you want to disprove that SH4 is both stable and runs reasonably well for me. There simply is no way to disprove it since that is my experience with the game so far. If you for some reason don't want to buy the game, that is of course your choice. Thanks for sharing your intentions though.

From my experience with SHIV, your criteria have already been met with version 1.2 and one of the mod-packs...........Skipbo

I have a mid range system and I've played 70 plus hours of SH4 (1.2) with zero CTDs and no issues with saving games. As Gizz says, 1.2 modded is good, stable and playable.....perfect it isn't. We're all hoping that 1.3 will take it from good to very good.

Ok well so far my experiences have been mixed but positive. I've experienced probably 3 ctd's and a few larger bugs which have f-ed up my patrols in my 50+(just a guess) hours of play. The game is a bit slow for me but my comp is a couple years old and isn't exactly top knotch. The big thing for me is that I didn't run off to Best Buy and get this game for $54.99. I bought my copy off eBay for (After shipping) a grand total of $32.00. It arrived 7 days later(Media mail is a bit slow) and despite some of the issues it has been a worthwhile purchase that I see only getting better with time/patches/mods. Hell I might even upgrade the comp a bit just for this game. Those my thoughts...

No CTDs yet running SH4 1.2 on a Dell Lattitude D820 notebook with an officially non-supported nVidia graphics chipset.

Plays like a charm. Patch 1.3 will be the icing on the cake.

Well, that is all great news as all I see when I come to this forum is horrible stories and rants of mobs organizing to burn down UBI and all!!!:rotfl:

I will still wait for 1.3 to solve the many things the devs admit. After all, it will be as much the first time then as today when I take to the big water.

Nice to see you are still around AL and now in the service of the Stars and Stripes
