Default 4 torpedoes after starting a new patrol?

what's up with that? there's not even space for those i should have and there's nothing in the stern tubes . they're all forward. doesn't matter how manty times i click the refit icon . gonna see what happens when i leave then reenter manila bay

edit: the boat is a Porpoise, USS Perch

edit 2: manila fell so now i'm at surabaya and clicking the refit icon yields nothing. i have absolutely no torpedoes on board upnon starting another patrol after sinking 8 transports . WTF is up with this thing?

Isn't there a finite amount of each torpedo type at each port? Maybe you had already got them in another patrol.:hmm:

This is what I do when docking at home base or refit port:

1) Click refit
2) Drag torpedoes from storage and fill all the tubes
3) Click refit again.

Empty storage space you just emptied will fill with torps and all positions will be filled.

that's just it, there're no empty spaces, not even spaces at all. it's like a S boat not having stern tubes

Sounds like you have a corrupt sim. If you have mods, remove them. If that doesn't fix, you may need to reinstall after deleting your D&S SH4 folder.

not sure, but i think things are back to normal. unlike the pic above, both torpedo rooms are there and were fully loaded. a couple transports came along and claimed a few

I have found that after returning to port after a patrol, I have to manually put the torpedos in the boats in the torpedo loadout screen. If I don't, I won't start the next patrol with any in the torpedo rooms or in the tubes. It's not an automatic process.

That was going to be my next question. If you had dragged torps from the base munitions onto your sub. Figured you knew that.

I don't think it's a bug. It's how you decide which torps you want in which tubes.
