Default [REQ] Mk48 ADCAP torpedos

with a 10Kt warhead. i'm thinkin SH4 could also be set during WW2 in the alternate universe in Star Trek. mmmm mushroom cloud where Akagi or Kongo used to be

The warhead is doable - there are a few mods that give you up to a 3km destruct radius. The issue with the 48 (and all modern torps) is their wire guided - so they can be steered (or swam) out as both remote sensors and weapons. If a target swerves, no problem - you steer it back with the weapons sensor cone and sooner or later - its gonna go boom. That function just isnt possible with the engine we have.

Since you can't steer it in SH4, maybe you'd settle for the Shkval?

It'd give me a good laugh to see a Jap destroyer trying to outstrip a torpedo doing over 250 knots! Probably wouldn't even need a warhead hitting at that speed.
