Idea to correct the [.] camera bug

First, this is just an idea I'd like to toss out the the guys who have the skills to do such things.

We all know about the bloody annoying camera view bug around land units.
I know of no such problems around ships or even armed merchants. Is it possible, to take a harbour and remove all the land units, and then replace them with something like stuck ships? Remoddled & renamed perhaps, so you have a simulated & armed land unit. This would probably have some side effects like the lookouts spotting or identifying no land but another ship as they would a warship docked.

Am I nutzo or perhaps this has already been thought of and can't be done, maybe to much work? Just an idea once again.

That camera bug can happen any where I checked to see a radar contact which was a plane and here we go again yo-yo time.

Same with ships at sea and so on.

In GWX we removed the elements that caused the "bouncing camera bug" so that now, when you view a land object such as a gun emplacement, your camera doesn't go crazy and sink into the ocean.

We did this about the same time that we fixed the player Type IX U-boat cable connections.
