Default Cargo Ships with Hydrophones ? ....

I found this large ship many times, and he react to my noise attempting to scape...

Clicking on the map, it is equipped with hydrophones and they works fine... all ships was into same course line, looks as he react at my sound and move straboeard making zig-zags to evade my sub reacting to my sound at ahead normal...

My question is...

Was it real ? or is it an error... ?

If an error, how to remove it from this ship ?
I have not experience editing nodes.

Any comment is welcome !!

Wow, thats interesting. It is somewhat realistic though, the Japanese sometimes did equip their cargos.

Any possibility of a Japanese Q-Ship? I would love to see one or two of them
in this game. Would keep those careless sub skippers on their best behavior....

There is also the case of auxilliary/converted gunboats, discussed in detail here:

Had this on one occasion as well (think mid 43'). Thought it was odd but it didn't help him since I was already dead in the water awaiting his arrival....

I discussed removing the hydrophones from the gunboats with Ducimus on this page of the FTT mod thread.

I've also come across quite a few with hydrophones -- both cargo and gun boats in mid 1942.
