Can anyone tell me:
WHY the WAC supermod changes the "PAUSE" and "TORPEDO LAUNCH" buttons? I was perfectly happy with "Backspace" being the "PAUSE" and "ENTER" being launch torpedo. Now, after many, many months of playing, I've modded with WAC and this unexplained keyboard change has been biting me in the butt for 4 days! I can't tell you how many times I've launched torpedo's when I wanted only to PAUSE the game! ![]() I don't see ANY reason that the original keystrokes needed to be changed?? You know...the ones I've been using forever and now have to "unlearn"?? ![]() I would like to return these keystrokes to the original ( "Backspace= PAUSE GAME...Enter=FIRE TORPEDO)...where would I accomplish this? |

Download SetKeys and change any key you want to, to anything you want.

Yes with setkeys you can set your keys to what you like.
Personaly I've taken a small screwdriver and removed the secondary return key ![]() prowler3; I have been away for a few days on vacation so excuse the late reply. There is a sticky for WAC in the modding section, if you would like to ask hans about any 'said' changes Im sure he or someone would get back to you. There is no need to toss a fit.

Danurve...sorry if I was a bit "strident" but this single key change has caused me immense problems since installing WAC. I can see no benefit and a boatload of drawbacks to changing a games key settings when many users have "learned" them. I trained myself to use certain keys and I'd rather not have to "untrain" myself for the next 2 months.
"Setkeys" just locks up. Without sounding too "Fitty", I would rather not have to download a new EXE everytime I need to make a change to SH3. Can someone just tell me where to find info/documentation on all the .CFG and other files that are user editable? I'll even take info on those that might require an EXE to edit. I've flown MSFS for 12 years...I know how to edit CFG, AIR and MDL files using text, hex editers, specialized exe's, etc...I think I can be trusted with the SH3 "Secret Sam" stuff? LOL!! |

The file to modify is Commands.en or Commands.de if using German.
