[WIP] Bow/Stern Wave/Foam

Started to look at the Bow/Stern Wave/Foam this morning. Its not as easy as I thought some how. I know Beery would like to make the foam darker...now I did some trials.

STOCK:

MEDIUM (not so big different to STOCK, a bit maybe)

DARK (Now we can see a big difference)

Same for Rear...

STOCK

MEDIUM (sort of a bit darker and more transparent)

DARK
Now we can start to see the problem...it almost looks like smoke or exhausts.

Same comparison in Daylight conditions.

As you can see it really starts to look like Exhausts in daylight

I guess one could tune the Alpha Channel in order to make it look less like Exhausts or Smoke, but been fiddling with it most part of the morning and found that what looks good at night not always looks good daytime.

Nice effort here

Keep going. For one of the shots where the spray looks like exhaust, could that be used at some point in time, with color changes, to make a rear exhaust?

As it stands, if you cant fix the dark version.. I'd go with the medium version myself, its still an improvement.

This is something that a modder is doing for SH3. Be nice for SH4.

Yea I been checking up on that thread over there :p looks awesome.
Anyhow if someone wants to play around a bit with this please do.

Maybe try with a different "Main" image, the current is a pic of "foam" basically, and also play with the "Alpha Setting"
