Yes, so that maybe they get rid of each other! On the more serious side though, even if you try and take mine away, these people will still be able to get them. You guys in the UK have cheaper guns than us even for example! So no matter how much you guys like the idea of having no guns, I am beginning to think they are all around you anyway, just that you can't see it.

After this tragedy it is clear that we must equip all NASA employees with sidearms.

Do you think if the UK had more guns, our gun crime rate would be even lower?

*edit*

And yes, I want to be armed in a society that drives us into workaholics or crazy - you pick. The people who don't pick end up homeless. Welcome to the US of A. 40 hours a week is a joke. Last I heard, the average was getting closer to 55 to 60. You can go home at 40 hours a week, but you won't have a job long, or you will never be promoted. And vacation is dwindling too. Europe and even Canada take long vacations every year. They have shutdowns, where that is unheard of in the US. In the US, you are even looked down upon for even mentioning you want to take a week, even if it is your right!

And you wonder why we have problems. We've given up the ghost in the name of productivity. SOmething tells me this great nation can't keep this up forever since it is showing signs of crumbling.

Yes. Your violent crime is 5 times higher than the US according to the US Supreme courts website. Link is posted here somewhere in the generals thread, but can't find it.

The fact yours is rising and that there is gun crime at all in the UK goes to show you that your policy of taking them away is not working. Couple that to your 5x crime rate, and you have the makings of a really bad place to live. Bury your head in the sand if you want.

PS. One more thought - I know you are trying to justify your governments idea of taking away your firearms, but I really think you should take a step back and see what this has really brought you. From what I see, it is not pretty over there, and you gun problem is going to get worse by the day.

Thanks - that is just the tip of the iceberg too. Don't get me started on the phycologist push for positive only - this is why we have threads like the 'Hell' one.

Just remember, phycologist is the long way of saying phyco. That is in phyco crazy ideas.

According to this statistics, murder per capita is four times as high in the US compared with Germany, and three times as high as in the UK.

http://www.nationmaster.com/graph/cr...ers-per-capita

Though I must admit I expected the figures for the US to be much higher.

Violent crime in general however is flip flopped. 5x higher in the UK. Dunno about Germany in that regard though.

I am not sure where these people are being murdered though. I assume it is gang related because no one hears about it, so it is probably about people no one cares about. I'm lucky if one murder shows on the TV news per year.
