Earlier today I engaged a Huge task force in stormy, shallow seas at night. I managed to sink one Yamato class battleship and injure another (wtf there were a total of 3 Yamato classes in the taskforce 0_o). After hitting flank speed and hastely fleeing the taskforce I noticed little broken ship icons appearing on my map. At least 1 other battleship (besides the injured yamato which I can understand sinking) 1 light cruiser and 3 destroyers all sunk in the water due to the storm.
Anyway, is there someway I could edit these wave heights and make them smaller. As they are now they go straight over the sides of destroyers and sink them as soon as the destroyer starts to search for your sub. This is unbelievable and definetly ruins immersion. |

The first two lines into the Sim.cfg file do it, but not remember what values are good
![]() [Mech] Waves amplitude=0.2 ;[0,1] Waves attenuation=0.75 ;>=0 |

[Mech]
Waves amplitude=0.20 ;[0,1] Waves attenuation=0.06 ;>=0 Now when I change the wave amplitude should I change it to a smaller number for smaller waves or what? I also think I may have misunderstood what "Waves attenuation" means; is just how much the waves affect the enemy sensors, your speed or how much energy the wave loses when it hits your/other boats? |

I reduced my waves attenuation to 0.01. With that value the boat never gets airborne and seas still look rough enough (to me at least).
