My 17'' LCD monitor kicks my old CRT 17'' butt anytime when compared the quality. Much sharper on LCD IMO.

I like the quality of my 19" LCD widescreen too. Over my older square 19" CRT

Default patch 1.1 and 1.2 comparison: SCREENSHOTS

Comparison pictures between patch 1.1. and 1.2
I took the following pictures with an original resolution size of 1280*1024.
They were all scaled down to 800*600.
All graphical options (both with patch 1.1 and 1.2) to the max apart from windowed mode.
Ati Catalyst Control Center: all options to the max.

I don't know if anyone has found this yet, but:
To get rid of the green lines at the edge of the screen when using AA, make sure you uncheck the options Adaptive AntiAliasing in your graphics card properties. It works for me on a Radeon X1650.

Yes, but adaptive AA is very, very nice. It is what is used to anti-alias alpha textures - IE., the 'legs' of the cranes, deck railings, etc.

It does however work on every resolution below that... go figure

I guess now I have to decide if I wan't to play at my native res without, or at lower res's with AA.

Has anyone been able to apply AA to 1680x1050?

any info on this guys? is there a cfg file that limits res.?
