Default Custom Carrier difficulty.. how to ?

Ive been trying to create a custom difficulty in carrier mode but cant quite seem to be able to make it stick.

None of the settings "Easy", "Medium", "Realistic" really satisfy me.

Ive tried setting the options in the options screen but they reset when I reload the Carrier.

Any tips ? Maybe edit outside the game somehow ?

If you click on the books to your left in your office at port, you can change REALISM settings (ie unlim fuel, Event cam on/off, dud torps on/off). But I havent found a way yet to change the EASY, Hard... settings after you have started a career.

Hope this helps.

It's a little tricky to find. During a campaign you can access several books in the office screen (where you are between patrols). Two of the books are the 'load' and 'save' buttons, but there is a third book (upper row, leftmost book). Click that and you'll be able to change reality settings in a campaign.

Is it? I'm short sighted, but I never knew it was that bad
