Default GW: enemy submarines

April 1940
ran across an S class Submarine at night
very hard to spot
approached closer and they started shooting at me with their guns,
I got closer and fired a torpedo, all crew hid inside, finished her off with my deck gun

weird for sure
854 tons

yeah from what i've read on the forums, they are a fairly common occurence in GWX.

I spotted my first one today while intercepting a convoy.
He was sitting at the tail of the convoy. They seem to be harmless if they cant see you - he just sat and watched while I sank multiple boats

The S class are a damn ugly looking sub - the Germans really knew style in comparison :rotfl:

Met my first one a few days ago, also at the end of a convoy. When the other escorts went after me, they manned their deck gun although I was under water. Wanted to sink it but the escorts pushed me off.

I have played many moons and have never seen one yet in campaign
your lucky boys and yes the behaviour of the S class was normal

AI subs cant dive or surface they are over or under
and at this stage they still arent able to fire torps
so Ai subs and mtb's carry a gun with settings on
the surface to simulate torpedo hit,

common name I guess would be Serge's "Virtual torpedo"
but its not a torp so there is no torp to see launched
or swimming.
