I don't play dead is dead, so I would like to keep playing till the end of the war, I have a ViiB sub right now and going to upgrade to a IXD or something, I don't want GWX to just stop my career like SH4, Will I be able to keep going?

Just carry on playing your current career.
You can even start a new career in say 1944 and still go back to your 1939 one. ![]()

SHIII (GWX) wont stop your career untill you die
![]() or sink a hospital ship but if you use SHIII cmdr and "realistic career length" turned on, then cmdr will retire your career after a certain number of patrols/days at sea i belive |

Silent Hunter III never forces your carrer to end. Even under the most extreme situations (like... I don't know.... DYING, for example) you can still keep on going by simply loading from your last "good" saved game... which will usually be the one that says "In port before mission" if you didn't bother to save at a later point yourself.
If you're saved games are no longer accesible, then you've fallen victim to an annoying SHIII bug. Do a search on the subject "My saved games are missing" or something similar ![]() |
