Default Hydrophone Malfunction?

Hello folks,

just started playing SH and i'm trying to learn it with the realistic settings. I've ticked the option for "No Map-Contacts" and now I'm relying entirely on my sonarman to give me info on sound contact locations.

However, whenever a sound-contact's bearing and range information is announced by my sonarman, there doesn't appear to be a line from the sub to the approximate location of the contact on the navigation map, which i read in the community manual that there would be.

This seems to make locating and intercepting targets impossible, or at least very difficult.

Is this a bug, a feature, or am i missing something?

Thanks in advance folks

p.s and what does GWX mean? lol

no map contact updates means no black/red/blue/any line from the sub. thats why it is "NO map updates"

GWX: a supermod heavily modifying the stock version of SH3

well this is why i dont use "no map update" thingy, its all very well getting the bearing of the target but long range, medium range doesnt really help with marking the contact on the map, ive never really understood it, it took me about a month to accuratly use the intercept course thing

Well the community wiki says that if you don't have "no map updates" ticked then you'll see it. However if its turned on in the realism settings then it will be disabled.
