Return to base in the Career game

Is there a return to base key as in SH3? I've just sunk a Kongo battleship, used up my forward torpedoes and it's a bit pointless to complete the mission. Also will they accept me back at base or will I just be regarded as a failure.

Thought I'd ask before I have to go through the "mission" of going back "manually".

Only way to return to base, is to turn the boat around and set for it.

Thought so. Had hoped there'd be a hidden cheat... I mean it's such a long way home.
