It all depends in what your SH3 setup is. Lets just say your using SH3, patched to 1.4b, GWX and patched with GWX 1.02. You would have Jonescoft Generitc Mod Enabler (JSGME) installed into the SH3 file sturcture.

1. Open the following pathway: Ubisoft/SilentHunterIII/MODS.
- Ok now unzip the "Fubar" skin and place it into the MOD folder.
- Ok now open the following:Ubisoft/SilentHunterIII/JSGME application.
- Ok when you open this you will see that skin on the left.
- Ok click on the ">" button and transfer the mod over to the right.
- Ok close all files.
- Ok start game and enjoy.

My other problem is that the skins are being downloaded as .rar files and not .zip files why is that? and is there a way around that?

grab WinRar, free trial almost always available - just google it mate

plus when it says trial, it still stays active and dosnt timeout. ive been using it for about 4 years

I know you guys are busy but is there anyone who can make high quality late war VIIc skin?
Like this:

With Fubars skillls it should be easy i think.
I tried to do it by myself but i have no idea how to made it high quality - you know: changing only resolution of stock textures to 2048x2048 doesnt help...
(any ideas? maybe someone could do "Advanced skin tutorial"?)

Meh, BASIC

!!! Fair enough, you need to have some skills in image editing.

I need to add that the tutorial was created before the release of GWX and as such is geared towards the re-packing of the DAT files. This is not recomended in GWX, once the TGA files are extracted you can just use them as is in the textures folder.
