Default New to subsim.com and SHIV

Just wanted to pop in and say hello, I'm new to subsim.com and have just began delving into Silent Hunter IV.

Just got done with my first mission tonight, and I cannot believe how immersed I was...... had some damage, was taking on water and slipping slowly to 295ft and beyond.... my heart was pumping, I was sweating and I was frantically trying to think myself out of this mess.

Wow.... what fun, that's all I can say. It absolutely took me away to someplace else at the end of a long day.... just what I needed!

So... look forward to learning more, and seems like you guys have a nice forum community going on there, thanks for all the info!

S! and welcome!

Even though a lot of us are b!tching (including myself) about SH4 in its current state, its more from disappointment at the initial release. The devs will at least make it playable (like SH3 1.4b), and modders will take this to a new level.

This is a great forum..with good people. Just wait for the dust to settle from SH4 before you form any opinions

Welcome from this side of too-many-posts-must-stop-going-to-Subsim-every-five-minutes

I should hope you enjoy it here and in the game. The forums here are a great way to keep up with the ongoings. Mods too.

Hi Neal,

I found subsim.com from a post on the Ubisoft IL2 forum. Was pleasantly surprised to see a nice forum here and SHIV just coming out.
