Default French Release UFO Archives

The website for the French space agency is currently suffering down time due to traffic. http://www.cnes.fr/
I cant imaging that the French Space agency has much traffic on a normal day, but today is different.

The French have become one of the few countries to release their UFO files to the public. A very large archive has been made available online.

Since the tragedy of the commons has killed off the web site, this is a bit of a wait and see story.

What does everyone think there will be in the reports?
Can subjective reports alone ever provide enough evidence for you to make up your mind?
Got any nice UFO stories of your own experiences?

*note*
If you are reading this and thinking about making some cheep joke along the lines of "French surrender UFO files" etc. then think about it a little more and don't do it. The best comedy comes from novelty and wit, neither of which are found in the same old French jokes.

I've heard some conspiracies that there was a UFO in the Mona Lisa painting once.

Other than that, I don't "belive" in UFO's. Mainly all of the reports were from drunks or hippies who just got done smoking weed. Some stories are just plain funny.

Personally I see lots and lots of evidence, much of it credible.
However I don't see that it points towards any kind of meaningful conclusion.

for me it is just unexplained and I am quite happy to leave it at that until someone comes up with a explanation that they can use to make testable predictions with.

95-98% of sightings are said to have been explained by natural, meteorological or technical phenomenons. A majority of these sightings may have been wrong conclusions by the people giving the reports, but were given in good believe or intention nevertheless - the people filing them in really did not know any better. To say most reports were given by hippies and drunken people is not only not true, but idiotic. as a matter of fact a lot of reports were coming from highly trained professional personnel like pilots, radar operators, scientific technicians, military experts.

So 2% of reports remain that so far nobody was able to explain withiout needing to seriously distort our knoweldge about technology and nature, or straight lying about events on earth. I once held high interest in the issue, and red a lot about it. most literature represents agendas of professional "I want to believe" organisations or not less professional "whatever you say I will forever doubt it" organisations and authors. Only three books survived of my former library on the matter.

the phenomenon exists in the meaning of that people talk about it and that it has a real representation in public mind not only of modern culture, but ancient cultures as well, and is reflected in the mythologies of many local and foreign peoples as well. This does not mean that the content, the subject of the phenomenon is what we label it like in the modern present: "alien astronauts", "UFOs", whatever. I came to the conclusions that not only there is not sufficient data available right now to build valid working theories on the issue - it maybe also is beyond our reach to raise that needed information basis. Therefore I have put the issue on ice and rejected to form premature opinions or conclusions on it. Which means practically that I keep myself open and interested to all directions.

Just that old Fox Mulder poster: "I want to believe" - that is a red rag for me. We should wish to know. Just "believing" any explanation is worthless.

IMO If there exists an alien species with enough intelligence to make space trips to take a look at the earth, they will have turned their backs and fleed away like a cat with its tail on fire when they have seen what we are doing here. Humans are really worser than virus...no wonder they didn't bother trying to establish contact

Space is never ending and goes forever so therefore eventually in 20 bizillion galaxies away there would be a reproduction of earth. What I can't estimate is, is it a planet full of Barney's or what?

Is that a whiskey or a lapdance bar?
