Auto Save in SH4?

Just was on my first patrol...spent a couple hours, sunk a few merchants, was hit by aircraft...submerged and started repairs...everythings going well! Yay

I hit the 'A' key randomly (not intentional) and had a CTD...

Does SH4 have an autosave while out on patrol? If not...I'm VERY PO'd

I had promotions and tonnage and fun...if its all lost...I'm just...really upset at my 50 dollars providing me this...when I expected something else.

OK, it doesn't.

Bummer, but I started from the one save I made, and ended up finding some subchassers. I put 6 or 8 toprs into one and it didn't sink. The ship slowed to 0 knots, and I got close to it behind it, the other chasser with it went on in a large searh pattern and I surfaced and finished the prey with my deck gun, it was badly damaged and wasn't able to fire back with main guns, but did fire MGs at me. No crewmen were injured (but I was awarded 2 wounded medals?) and I finished it off, and sailed home.

Was fun! Some patch love is all this game needs and it will be even better!
