Default Download free .dds graphic file converter here...

I found a freeware .dds file converter program for download. It works well and is needed to convert SH4's .dds texture files into .jpg or other formats for editing. C'mon modders, let's get to work on improving SH4!

Can be downloaded here:

Brilliant works like a charm! Thanks man!!.
I am trying to add a 360 degree bearing plotter for the Navigation Map like this

'
This is one nice feature I miss from SH3, cause it gives you direct bearing at a glance etc. Now, when I open this in the "DXTBmp" and look at the Alpha channel I see the Bearing Plotter (this data is from the "Bearings Mod by Jase") , tried to save it as dds but don't see the graphics in the game. Could be that I am doing this totally wrong, any hint would be mush appreciated. As i am at work at the mo I can not really try stuff, but I fiddled a bit with it this morning and no go.

Hey, that bearing plotter looks great. Can't wait.

Did you overwrite the old file when changing it back? You might want to try renaming the old .dds file after converting to .jpg or whatever. Then converting it back will create a new .dds file with the changes you made. This might work. Also, in the options, be sure you have quality compression set to 99% for converting. You don't want to lose any texture quality. I'll try this and report my findings.

Yeah, it works. I was playing around and here's what I did:

All you have to do to make it work is do what I said in my previous post.

I read in your other thread that you say "In the DDS Converter Tool option settings make sure that the Quality Compression"...where is the "option setting" ?. I tried to load the bearing plotter, so far so good (its in TGA format by the way) but I don't get how to save it into the proper format. I tried all preview options like DXT3, EXT5 etc but it always looks weird, more like static lines then anything else, I am sure I am doing this completely wrong, so maybe you could enlighten me. Thanks in advance
