Default TBT 100 percent attacks

I sure can't wait until someone does a nice school on this.

It is kinda hard, but really really cool.

...except when your torpedos go off all sideways, and the wrong sideways at that....

I love TDC attacks. I think Neal gave something like a 74% hit rate for him using manual TDC - around the same for me, maybe a little less, but it's a LOT of fun to use.

That's one area that's definitely an improvement over SHIII. I don't think those whiz wheels will get old on me. I will not miss WO assistance!

Is it possible with manual TDC to just input your own speed estimation? Or do you have to do the whole deal with the timing?

I'm just curious about this 'cuz I never liked having the 'scope exposed for too long.

In fact I haven't quite figured out how to do it otherwise!

Yes, you can enter estimates for anything - and quickly too. Which is the real beauty of this TDC - in SHIII it was always a matter of getting it precisely, and it took a long time to get the settings.
Here, the quickest solution is often the best one - provided you're at relatively close range (<1km). At longer ranges, precision is back in the game.

CCIP,

Is it possible to set up a torpedo run on the 3D TDC (like in SH3) without using the 2D pullouts in the periscope screen?

Dont think so Serg, they removed a lot of world interaction I hear. You can't click the officers and such. Doubt they had time for a 3d-modelled target computer :<

Thats so weird. I mean from the vid I saw there were dials and all the TDC stuff functioned. How hard could it be to put it on one page?

Though me thinks me's found a possible future mod.:hmm:
