Default A new sim, a new chance to shine

Dear Subsimmers old, young, new, and seasoned.

Now is the time of change, and with it comes new opportunities. We now can spread out skilled wings westward from the Atlantic, past Paukenschlag, past the Happy Times, to a place where history is made. We are about to embark upon a journey which will no doubt shake the roots of the submarine simulation, and wretch many of our hearts with every voyage. It is a time of dynamic warfare

We are faced with a new battleground. A truly 3D Pacific Theatre faithfully represented and ripe for the picking. We command new war machines that will require mastery of the arts of submarining one more time.

We face a new enemy, the Imperial Japanese Navy who would do everything in their power to stop us. But we say "NO". "We are Subsim.com, and we will not back down"
We say instead "WE are SUBSIM. And we will fight the enemy wherever they may be" "WE are SUBSIM. And we will show our courage in the open waters of the Pacific".

"WE are SUBSIM. And we will NOT be DEFEATED."

My little rally for all you troops getting SH4 in the near future

SH5 could include all the free forces as well ,such as Greeks,Poles French etc. They all operated the U-class so it would appeal to a wide market.Scenarios could include lots of special operations plus rescuing soldiers from Crete, transporting cargo to Malta ,dropping bodies off the Spanish coast etc. This theatre was probably one of the most difficult for submarines and saw a lot of major successes and a number of VC awards.

Thumbs up for Linton I'd love that, heck would love playing RN or Soviet subs in Norway trying to torpedo Tirpitz or plant mines underneath her (him?).

That said I am excited about SH4 and appreciate Kaptain Phillip's pep talk. Even I won't be getting it for awhile, I am on my most difficult (and worst) SH3 career ever. Thanks GWX guys.

Glad to be of service Joea
:rotfl:

A Br subsim would be sweet
Your idea of using different nations may be the best way to get it to appeal to a big enough audience Linton

Staying with SH3 too for the time being

I'm actually finding it hard to get enthused about SH4. I don't have any facts to base this on it's just something isn't sitting right with me. All the talk of a "holloywood" type experience is giving me bad vibes and I just have the feeling that this is going to be a cartoon like simulation experience. From Dev comments over these past few months it also seems as though the game has been rushed out the door so I won't be surprised to see game breaking bugs upon release.

I love sub simulators so I'll probably end up getting it and I hope my pessimistic prediction is proven wrong.
