BTW, is the US SH4 site the "red-headed step-child" of sites or what?

Next to no updates and this is, ya know, a US NAVY sub sim! Not to mention the largest sales market.

Nice job UBI - way to cater to the base.

Actually Germany specifically and Europe are a much more significant market for hardcore sims for some unknown reason. Sales over here in the genre usually significantly outstrip the US despite their larger overall market.

Regardless, those are some cool wallpapers.

Yes, the English speaking community better ignores the US website and should visit the UK website:

The silent hunter urls:

USA: http://silenthunter4.us.ubi.com/

UK: http://www.wolvesofthepacific.com
UK: http://silenthunter4.uk.ubi.com/

France: http://silenthunter4.fr.ubi.com/

I will give you a possible reason.

Lack of advertising.

The only sim I think I have seen advertised over here is FSX.

Seems totally useless and a waste of effort to have a US AND an UK website for SH4. They should just have sticked with 1 website in the english language.

Default SH4 New Wallpaper

Sailor Steve. Check again. They have a sub rendering up now!!!!

This is the translated text:

The best structural drawings do not use anything, if one cannot read them. Even if they are not naval experts, the Romanian developers could finally solve this task from silent Hunter IV. Dan Dimitrescu, the leading Game designer, brings it on the point: „Some from us mechanical engineering and also architecture studied, but finally we reached much completely simply with a large portion of enthusiasm, healthy human understanding and the regarding of enormous amounts of photos. To forget not: It concerned to us not to build a genuine submarine to create but a reliable model of it. And that, whereupon I carry however each oath, that for us out really well succeeded! “The developers of different museums, in which the last remaining American submarines from the Second World War, remained, are to be still seen, got support among them „the USS Cod “in Cleveland and „the USS Bowfin “in Honolulu. „We could clarify a great many detail questions, which would have prepared, remember us otherwise surely much headache “Emil Gheorghe, responsible person producer of silent Hunter IV. „above all the many together with the curators and employees of the two museums photos and sketches, which we received from there, have us always bits further brought. I believe, it am above all these details, which let a model and also the play appear really convincing at the end.
