Diesel Sound in GWX

Hola!

Today finally I installed GWX MOD and was reading the manual... oustanding work guys!! so I start a Patrol with a Type-VII and at soon I listen the diesel engines I notice thay are MUCH weaker than in stock game, is that right or something went wrong in my installation?

I can hear them but not loud like in the past... maybe they were to loud and not realistic and that is the reason for the change, maybe they bother while playing for some hours so they decide to change that effect... please confirm this for me,ok?

thanks!!

(sorry for the "english")

It is reduced from stock to a more realistic (at least from my very little experience on coastal warships) level. I certainly couldn't hear much more than a low rumble when top side. No idea what it was really like on the conning tower of a u-boat lol.

Edit: I should probably point out that the diesels are still quite loud for me when inside the u-boat, and still quite noticeable, but not overpowering, when on the bridge or free cam.

I found this to be the same. Then I added Thompsons Sound mod through JSGME. It overites some of the GWX files, but does improve lots of sounds (including the diesel engines) and lotts of extra internal sounds which makes it more like you have a crew on board. By the way I use the German language option for sounds, but use English for written messages etc.

A lot of the sounds from Thompsons sound mod are already in GWX 3 but there are some that are not so just answer yes when asked to do so using JSGME.

Don't know Thompsens mod (sure like to try it), but Brett25, has this mod: The one at the bottom (loudest) you can download it from maiks serious mod archives. Also turning down all sound volumes in SH3 options menu except main and FX will help. I recommend Brett25's SurfaceEngineStartup aswell.
