Default Underwater hooks?

I'm watching Below right now, and I'm wondering if the Japanese ever actually used underwater hooks to rip at bottomed subs, and if they'll be in SH4. Anyone know?

I believe at some point in the past I did read an account of actual use
but I dont know about SH4

It happen in the 80's for a french SSN during an intelligence mission in lybia, russian ship at anchor try to hit the sub with their anchors
