Release Date Changed?

I just called Ubisoft US and had pre-ordered SHIV with overnight shipping,last week I was told would go out today.When I called just a few minutes ago now told will not ship till the 20th.I would like to get a straight story from someone now will wait 1 more week.

The official Ubisoft ship date for the US version is now 03/20.

The email you recieved was due to an error caused when they changed the release date. They will indeed be shipping on the 20th.

I ordered from Ubi in the hopes they would ship a couple days before release so us pre-orderers could get it on or aound the 20th release date.

Hell, if I would've known they were gonna wait that long, I would've ordered from Newegg and got it $5 cheaper and probably a bit faster too.

Not to mention being billed on the day it shipped, not a week and a half early.

Overnight Shipping at Ubisoft is a little cheaper then it is at Newegg for me. Either way though, getting charged for soemthing that hasn't shipped is lame. Having "Shipped" on your "My Orders" page when it hasn't shipped is also lame.

Patience is a virtue. It also reduces stress. I intend to wait at least 90 days from release and peruse these forum threads before purchasing SHIV. By then, everyone will be chattering about whether it contains any major bugs or still uses StarForce protection, in which case I won't purchase it at all.

I don't think anyone uses Starforce anymore. I know Ubi dropped them last year so you at least don't have to worry about that.
