You linked to the wrong page. I ended up on Page 2, not Page 1:p.

You see, when an enemy unit is focused on another target, they're less likely to notice the trails of bubbles headed for their stern
I hope that's a real feature and not just an interpretation of what the previewer(s) experienced. If it's real, good show!

The sea even has a seabed this time, complete with wreckage, rocks and plant life.
Wrecks too. Splendid. Should make for a challenge for 100% realism types.

CO: "Navigator, what's our depth under keel?"
NO: "Still a good 6 and a half metres, sir."
CO: "Splendid. Go to silent running, and we'll be through this area in minu--"

No Gungan underwater cities though, which could have made a nice target for our torpedoes.
Aw. Looks like I won't be getting Silent Hunter 4 after all. I was looking forward to raiding Gungan cities most of all.

One of the biggest overhauls to the game is its crew management system. The last game might have been better titled "Sims - Naval Academy"; a huge chunk of playtime was devoted to figuring out who should have a lie-down in the crew's quarters. The stats of each and every crew member had to be monitored, and then painstakingly dragged and dropped into each crew position. It was labour-intensive, and as much fun as suffering from the bends.

HaHa.....this guys pretty funny!!!!! Thank's for the link!

At this moment I have that very quote saved in the "Copy" bin. You literally took the joke right out of my mouth. Maybe I should read the whole thread before I follow the link.:rotfl:

Very well written! Not over-funny, like many reviewers try to.

One trade-off, however, appears to be a lack of anti-aliasing. Note to devs - if you've somehow broken AA due to one of your sexy graphical techniques, prepare to feel your pride at releasing an otherwise awesome sim be submerged. You will not be forgiven. Considering the last game had major issues with resolutions above 1024 x 768, we're hoping that the devs haven't made another blunder in this department.
Did I call it, or did I call it?

LOL

Maybe we will be able to shut off the "Sun Glare" and get FSAA back.

Nice to see someone from my neck of the woods writing a review. Hmm, only 2 weeks from today until release....must go pre-order at local EB Games!

I hope they've not gone so far down the 'extra mission' route that we spend a disproportionate amount of time doing things OTHER than hunting merchant traffic (with a few warships as targets of opportunity). Being involved up close in large battles is, AFAIK, a load of bollocks.....
