I'm sure the stats will boil over once SH4 is alive and kicking. Heck, as it nears gold status, other riffraff like myself will undoubtedly register.

Yes, there goes the neighborhood. Consider yourselves warned.

Well I gotta say, with the number of "captains in port" now pretty much always in the hundreds, this is one heck of a popular forum!

I think all the non-posters are people who have wanted access to the mod forums, which aren't public.
2005 was a massive year for new memberships, probably for this very reason (people looking for SH3 mods).
2007 should be equally big with SH4.

No don't do that ... I lived in the boonies for three years and only had access at a local country library ... Many people are coming back in that haven't posted in a long time ... Let em lay or lie, but I believe SH4 will bring many back into the fold.

Plus don't many people stop by and they just don't want to take the time to insert user name/password?

Make it eaiser to post by reminding them to check the computer to always know who they are, not requiring a check in would speed up the process.

Makes sense, filter out the " tire-kickers " or should I say " hull-kickers ".

I think that would be easy to catch, unless they use different computers.

Neal would need a special plug-in for vBulletin to find that out (dunno if such a plug-in exists), even then it couldn´t be said with a 100% certainty. He tars and feathers those that use different user names/have multiple personalities.

Gizz, how many people have their own custom avatar's? Like Sailor Steve, CCIP, etc.

I only see maybe twenty (20) or so ...

what if sub sim charged $5.00 for any of the avatars that are already being rotated on sub sims server and keep the title name on rotation. Then your off the rotation schedule ...

For the next step up sub sim could charge another $5.00 for your own custom name and avatar on your own server, but you have to buy a regular one first, which equals $10 times in the hundreds instead of the few that are now custom indviduals.

Worth thinking about ... people like being individuals
