Question to all modders on this forum !

Hi all ! I just want to ask something to all of you modders who know all the technical possibilities of this game : can we expect some day the release of a blue light in the sub, at least in the commandroom and on the periscope view, when silent running ?
I think that's not a detail.... This had been discussed before, without any doubt, but it probably needs a new thread ....

I don't think that's possible. It's probably hard-coded, otherwise it would already have been done.

I'm no modder (allthough I tried lol), but a SH3 oldtimer.

AFAIK the lights are hardcoded
I believe Ref had a look the last time someone asked the same question

Aw ok....
I truly hope someone's going to find how to make this mod someday, like I said it's not a little detail, it would add very much to the immersion in game.... the SH3 dev team forgot that thing.

Don't think it is Photoshoped, the yellow & red on the depth gauge would be different colours. If my schooling serves me correctly, red + green = blue.:hmm:

The color of the light is easily changed what we can't control is when the colored lights are turned on (only at night), so it's not probable we can implement it (I'm not writing certainlly any more, each time I do that someone pops up with a solution )

Well, if we can change the interior lites,
then I should be able to get Red Flares, eh?

Ref
Ref is right. What we need is a trigger. The only trigger we actually have to turn the light to another color is day-/night time.

@Paajtor:
It´s not photoshoped. I came across these values searching for a way to enlighten additional compartments (...and no, it´s not yet finished). I decided to use the green light for some testing.

@privateer:
Red flares, why not. Should be possible but might be wrong.

DD

@DD,
traceing through dats I found that Star Shells lead to Flare information.
An unfinished part of SH3 again?
As I have never seen Flares, just Star Shells.
And I have found a "color" section.
I just don't understand it at this time.
I do have a reason for colored flares in my mind.
