This is so sad! I was happy as hell when i read the topic, after all the New NYGM was out. But then this sad news.

I don't know what to say. NYGM was always with me. Even way back when it was all about single packs that changed this or that. It changed the game so drastic it was a whole new feel!

I wish you guys the best! And thanx for all the good times i had in my Boot!

Farewell Mates!

Bravo Zulu!!! For a job well done. Your contributions to SH3 has been ABOVE and BEYOND the normal Call of Duty. You will be sorely missed. Thank you NYGM team.

Sincerely,

Well its been a fun ride...from all the way back in the days of RuB to the latest NYGM 2.4 - you guys have ensured that SH3 became the one game i've played the longest in my life.....now that can't be bad can it?!!

I wish you all the best in whatever you do and, although deeply disapointed that this is the last NYGM release, i'm really thankfull to you for providing me with many hours of emmersive sub sim enjoyment.

Thankyou, and good luck.

Hans

Thanks again!

And by the way, I hope to support NYGM however I can - not by official updates, but I will make an effort to adapt some of the newer minor mods to NYGM as they come out and recommend compatible mods to other NYGM players.

Looks like another update along the lines of 2.3 which, while not radical, is a nice addition

It really looks great. I will continue to switch back and forth between NYGM and GWX until I can figure out which one I like best. Either way, I really appreciate what you guys have done. It seems like yesterday RuB was THE mod and now so many improvements have been made since then. It just keeps getting better. It sucks to think this may be the last NYGM update.

I would like to thank You for your kind of will to stay with NYGM and to help us to have some new additions for NYGM in the future! One thing I would like, maybe like optional is adding many of new ships and maybe also optional SCR mission file with some historical events and operations like in GWX. (D-Day and many more).Maybe I will try It from myself one day if I could find a time for that, but that is my wish.

Is there a simfeeling mod that works with 2.4 that gets rid of the white icons that slightly stick out on the left side of the screen?

Find the file SilentHunterIII\data\menu\menu_1024_768.ini. You can open this file with any word processor (such as Notepad or WordPad).
Find the section labelled "[G3F I21]". The original file looks like this:
[G3F I21]
Name=Group shortcuts
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F020000
ParentID=0x3F000000
Pos=-1,761,56,474
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
HorizSlide=-30
Change the value for Pos to -1,761,56,474 and the value for HorizSlide to -56.
It should look like this afterwards:
[G3F I21]
Name=Group shortcuts
Type=1026;Menu group
ItemID=0x3F020000
ParentID=0x3F000000
Pos=1,761,56,474;-1,761,56,474
Color=0xFFFFFFFF
HorizSlide=-56;-30
Note that you should keep the old values in the file, after a ; (semi-colon). The game will ignore anything after the semi-colon, but the old values will be available to you if you ever decide to change back to the original configuration.
