Default Operation Sizilien

Guys, I'm approaching the date for Operation Sizilien and looking at the GWX manual it says that Spitzbergen in the port that gets raided. However, I can't find it on the SHIII map - can anyone tell me the name of the port in the game please?

Wow, all the way up there?!? Um... so why does the GWX manual tell me to go to Spitzbergen when it actually is something else...?!?

Thanks for that. A pity I had to ask for clarification though, I imagine there was a lot of work put into this side of GWX. If people don't know where stuff is we won't see it.

I find the GWX manual to be very well documented on these operations. When looking for additional info, I find also Google Search and Google Earth to be valuable tools...

Is there a cronological list of all the operations in GWX?

By the way, I took part in Sizilien

Obviously a limitation with the game but instead of getting into position and then attacking, individual ships opened fire as soon as they were in range. The result was that some destroyers sunk the ships in the harbour before the big guns arrived there.

Also two German destroyers beached themselves and two struck the pier along with one of the capital ships

They didnt beach anyway they were landing commandos :rotfl:

Hopefully one day the land units will have a damage model so they can be shot at too
